I read your story. I had a similiar experience. I live in Houston, Tx. Sprint sucks there too. I order ISDN. They tell me that it will take about a month for it to be installed. 2 weeks later i just call to check and they tell me that the order was messed up. I was really angry, they could have called me and told me this! I have no idea why the order was messed up but it was. Then a month later the line was installed. I didnt trust Sprint's crap modem so i bought my own 3com one :). On the installation date, it gets installed and everything, but it doesnt work. So i have to call them from a friends house becasue we had no dial tone. They told us that we needed a special card in our phone box cuz we were too far away. 3 days later they fix it and then i had my ISDN. we were out of a line for 3 days! that is utterly unacceptable. They did nothing about despite our complaints. They made us sign a 2 year contract w/ the understanding that they will install us DSL when it is available. That is the main reason we signed the contract. Recently, DSL is available in the area. Some of my neighbors have it. We order it and everything and they schedule our installation date. On the installation date, they give us some bs engineering problem and they cant install it. Turns out that our phone lines are too old and they cant support DSL. But my friend that works for SWBELL says that is bullshit because we had isdn. I personally think they just want us to keep isdn cuz its more expensive here then DSL is. Our contract should be null because we went into it w/ the agreement that we would get dsl when it was available. I have yet to bitch at them for this though. So, i am currently on my slow ISDN and my friends are on their fast DSL lines. I'm just going to wait for cable internet to be offered because i dont want to give sprint any more money then they deserve.
